Dell Inspiron 545MT Graphics Card Upgrade - Best available card?
Dear all,
I want to upgrade my graphics card. I have a default power supply of 300W (presumably), PCI express 2.0 x32, CPU Core2Duo E7400 @ 2.8GHz.
I would like to ask for a suugestion for the upgrade.
Currently, I am looking at Radeon HD7750 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00761YFPW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE). I'm not planning on upgrading my PSU, so I want to ask whether this card is compatible and if there are better alternatives.
Cheers.

The Radeon HD7750 is an excellent video card upgrade and will be compatible with the default 300w power supply.
I'm using the Radeon HD7750 with the Dell 300w PSU in an Inspiron 530 MT with a Core 2 Duo e8400 without any issues.

Hello Naeads,
AMD Radeon HD 7750 requires minimum of 400W power supply. However you may check out the compatible video cards which have been tested with Inspiron 545 MT.
Hope this helps!

The 7750 does not require a 400-watt power supply; it draws all its power from the PCI Express slot, which can furnish a maximum of 75 watts.
Graphics card manufacturers are famous for overstating power supply requirements.

Users are reporting success with the Sapphire 7750 low-profile with power supplies of only 220 watts!
