Dell Inspiron 660, AMD Radeon HD 7570 Not Detected
Hello,
I've tried several suggestions found in the forums, but I'm at a loss for how to proceed or what's even causing the issue.
I have a Dell Inspiron 660 and a Dell XPS 8500. We recently replaced the graphics card in the 8500 (which was the Radeon HD 7570), and we wanted to swap the Radeon into the 660. The Inspiron 660 was previously using an Nvidia card (GeForce 9800, I believe, rather old, and not the original card that came with the machine) just fine. However, installing the Radeon card has been completely unsuccessful. We've installed the drivers, we've made sure to uninstall the previous drivers, nothing seems to work. We've updated the BIOS to the latest version available on Dell's website.
On one hand, it seems like the OS is aware of the card, as running a utility to scan the system is able to determine the type of card present. On the other hand, in Computer Management, we see an error saying that the device failed to start.
I don't know what's causing the issue, I'm hoping it's something super stupid and simple since I know the 7570 is an option available for this model, but I'm at a loss as to why it won't detect and run it properly.
Thanks!
