Dell Inspiron 660 Hard Disk failed 2 days out of warranty, now need Windows 8 reinstall disk and procedures
My Dell Inspiron 660 Hard disk failed (2 days out of warranty!)
Windows will not boot, no disk activity
Error Code 2000-0142
Validation 95860
Mgs: Hard Drive 0 S/N Z1D6CVQR short self test unsuccessful
I have ordered a replacement disk from Dell (£70)
Please advise how I obtain the necessary disk, and the procedures for booting and re-installing Windows 8.1

This is the USA forum. EMEA users must contact dell support in their country due to export restrictions.
