Dell Precision T3400 ram and CPU upgrade
hi,
I want to upgrade my Dell t3400. I have few question appreciate you can answer them.
- Which processors can be installed on the stock motherboard?
- Does T3400 support DDR3 Ram ? ( i know you can not install ddr3 in ddr2 slot) but as mention on intel's site "Intel® X38 Express chipset" supports DDR3, is there any workaround except changing the mobo?
- Can you use non ECC rams on it?
- What is the max supported frequency and latency ?

http://www.dell.com/support/Manuals/us/en/19/Product/precision-t3400 should answer some questions. Don't expect to add features that did not exist when the computer was new. Go to Crucial.com to see what memory you can use.
