Please help me to turn on my workstation without the front panel.
I need to find out what pins to short because the front panel is broken.
What is the pinout of the 28 pin connector?
Dell doesn't make that info public. So unless somebody else has mapped that connector or you can do it yourself....

Exactly what's wrong with the front panel?

Thanks for the topic link.
I just got that the problem is with wires and I don't need to know the pinout.
I just need to solder the wires by matching the numbers of pins of both connectors
If you just need to replace the cable from motherboard to front panel, you can contact Dell Spare Parts to order a new one.

Sorry but I did not get you. Could you please clarify meant by "its not a connector its cables and a board."?
Pinouts are not documented and its not just wires going to single connectors on the motherboard.
The information you are requesting is not published and will not be.
There are multiple cables going into a "front panel circuit board" its not a single cable or connector. Its many cables clustered on a board at the front of the case mounted on a bracket.
