Dell Vostro 430 - Brand New - No Video?
Hello all,
I have just received a brand new Dell Vostro 430 this morning and it won't display an output on my monitor with VGA.. I then tried over hdmi to my HDTV and still nothing.. Then I used a DVI to HDMI converter and still nothing. What's the deal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah from what I can tell it's booting smoothly and correctly. My HDTV can sense an input in HDMI port 2 so there is definitely current there. Could this be something to do with resolution? I'm not sure whether WIndows 7 boots at the last known res or whether it does a scan after the initial boot up.

I tried pressing the f8 key many times as it boots but I have no idea where safe mode is located in terms of how many time I need to press the up/down arrow key to select it. Any ideas?

Is there a permanent solution to this?
I'm getting this intermittently which I fix by powering it off and then back on several times but this is hardly ideal.
