Dell XPS 630i Audio Static

I have got an old Dell XPS 630i up and running again, though when I plug my earphones in (I have tried multiple sets) I receive audio static. Even though I can hear the Audio of youtube or anything over it. I have tried the front audio jack, rear audio jack and am out of ideas?

Can anyone help me?

What operating system? What chipset and audio drivers have you uninstalled and then reinstalled?

* Go back to the top of this Audio Forum
* Look to the right and open "FAQ Desktop Audio"
* Open, "Desktop PC Audio drivers"
* Use the instructions for, "Realtek HD Audio update"

If installing this driver does not correct the issue, my advice is to disable the onboard Realtek audio in the Bios and install a PCI sound card.
