Dell XPS 730X Memory Upgrade
Hi
I have a Dell XPS 730X (water cooled) desktop.
Have checked all the owners manuals + online posts and am still confused about what memory upgrades are available for it.
1. Can I upgrade memory to 3 x 4Gb modules = 12 GB.
2. If the above answer is yes is the following memory compatible:
Hynix 4gb 2rx8 Pc3-10600u Unbuffered Ddr3-1333
Manufacturer: hynix

Component density: 4gb

Hello Mutleyman087,
Dell XPS 730X was tested and shipped with DDR3 1066MHz and faster memory modules. The system does supports maximum of 12GB memory. Please check the Crucial Memory Selector for more details.
Hence before purchasing the Hynix memory modules, I would request you to install them and check if they are working.
