Dell XPS 8300 and Gigabyte HD7970 GPU
Anyone knows why my computer does not recognize it?
Its i7 with 16 Gb Ram and 3Tb HDD
Stock graphic is HD 6670
1400 euros spent on new system about 1,5 years ago and 570 euros spent on new PSU and GPU recently just wasted?
This is my third Dell system, if I will not get this card working I will not buy another again.
Both PSU and GPU works on my older Dell Dimension 9200 without any problem.
Whats wrong with XPS 8300?

Hello Brambi,
In order to assist you further, I would request you to let me know the specifications of the power supply and also help me understand what exactly happens when you say the card will not work.

HI Allan My new PSU is Corsair AX1200i , it is running perfectly on my previous Dell system with this HD 7970.
When I try to start up XPS 8300 with new PSU and GPU system doens not see the card, It powers up but nothing comes to the screen, I tried also HD 7870 and there is same effect.
I am 100% sure that cards and PSU are ok as they were tried in two other computers and works fine.
