Dell XPS One 27 Touchscreen Stopped Working
I have a Dell XPS One 27 delivered on the 8th of March. The touchscreen has stopped working. I do not expect this on a new machine. How can this be resolved?

Hi Fatherfay,
Wow, that stinks. Brand new machine!!
Since it's new, I think the best approach is to call. They can take control of the machine and hopefully do a driver update.

This just happened to mine. Did you solve this problem?

Update: My touchscreen, which stopped responding to touch yesterday or today, was fixed by updating the BIOS. The BIOS update was available through the Dell website's Support > Drivers and Downloads for my model (XPS 2710).
I used my Service Tag (on the back) to find the relevant "recommended" updates. Then select your OS from the dropdown and then expand the BIOS listing. [Don't update all the other listed drivers and stuff unless you know you need it -- some of the listed updates for my system are not actually applicable to mine.]
I got this solution by calling technical support. The guy who assisted me was very helpful. First step was to check the drivers under Human Interface Devices in Device Manager. No error flags (the yellow caution triangle road sign thingy) on any of those. (I had already done that before calling but we checked again.) So the next step was to update the BIOS, restart the computer, and that worked. btw, the BIOS update was from A09 to A11.

Thanks Marioso. I had the same problem and updating the BIOS (from A09 to A12) fixed it. Your post pointed my in the right direction - thanks for your help! Shaun.
