Did I buy the right kind of RAM?
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 3650 Desktop. I bought some Dell RAM on eBay and have a problem installing it. After inserting the RAM and plugging in everything, I turn on the PC. The power button that is usually white flashes orange and it doesn't start up. Nothing on the screens. So, did I buy the right kind of RAM? Its 2x8GB 1600mhz PC3-12800 UDIMM 240 pin. The number matches the one on Dell's website for my Inspiron (SNP66GKYC/8G.) I can't attach pictures because the limit is 1000kB and mine are all 1.45M+. The only difference I see in the two types of RAM is the new says 2Rx8 and the old says 1Rx16. Is that my problem? Please reply. Thanks

1Rx16 Is high density Ram. Max Ram on this system is 16 gigs.

We cannot speak to non-Dell memory. Below are the validated memory sticks for this model
"The 2Rx8 will not work.". The RSL shows an 8GB 2RX8 memory stick =

Hi, thanks for your reply. So the RAM I bought won't work? 2Rx8? It is Dell RAM just bought from eBay.
