Dimension 2400 - Blue screen messages

For the past week I have been hearing clicking sounds coming from the area of my hard drive right before my Dimension 2400 would lock up. The only way I could then shut it down was to push and hold the bootup button. After unplugging the power and waiting a few minutes it would boot right up and be fine. I took off the cover and blew out the dust with compressed air, it was pretty dusty. Sometimes it would be OK for hours and sometimes only a few minutes before it would start again.

At first the blue screen message that was coming across was:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer, a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated
Technical info: *** STOP: 0x000000F4, (0x0000003, 0x8657E020, 0x8657E194, 0x805FA160)
Beginning dump of physical memory

After the first couple of times the second the blue screen message changed to:

KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
Technical info: *** STOP: 0x0000007A (0xC03DDF6C, 0xC000000E, 0xF77DB384, 0x3A3A9860)
*** atapi.sys – address F77DB384 base at F77CE000, date stamp 41107b4d
Beginning dump of physical memory

Now I can not get to the start up screen before it goes straight to the blue screen message of:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
Technical info: *** STOP: 0x000000ED (0x8678A900, 0xC0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I don't know if it's an overheating or hardware problem. Does anyone have any insight on this? An anticipated thanks for any insight.

Your hard drive is failing. Back up what you can while you can and replace it.
