Dimension 3000, Blue Screen

Worked fine, turn it off, came back in about 2 hours. Now I have the blue screen, can't do anything with it, no safe mode or anything. Could this be a hard drive went out.

If so what type hard drive do I need, also can I get XP/CD'S from dell, got it new from Dell.

Thank's   Jim

Is the power button LED, solid green, blinking green, solid amber, blinking amber, or off?

Check the sequence of the four Diagnosic Lights on the back panel of the case.

The Dimension 3000 Troubleshooter and Diagnostic Guide is HERE

The 3000 supports a 3.5", internal IDE hard drive.

If you reside in the US and are the registered owner of the computer, a disc containing the factory-installed operating system specific to your system, can be requested from HERE.

Ox00000050 errors are usually due to faulty RAM.
