I recently rescued my old dell Dimension 3000 from my loft and am looking to use it as an additional pc, connected to my lcd tv in the living room
I've already upgraded the ram - but its getting hot in the cabinet, think the fan in struggling
Is the psu for this pc the usual "stock" psu? I'm looking to install the following, would this be ok?

If it's overheating and it's not in an enclosed space, the CPU cooling fins may be clogged with lint. That's what happened to the 3000 I was using.
The 3000 uses a standard ATX power supply. For that matter, the mainboard (apart from the front audio port) is standard micro-ATX. The power supply you've linked to will work.
