Dimension 4100 "PCI System Management Bus"

Hello.

I am re-installing Windows 98SE on my Dimension 4100 after a hard drive crash.

I have completed the installation and I have installed all the drivers I can find, but I have two caution flags in Device Manager that I would like to get rid of. They are:

PCI System Management Bus
Unknown Device

I have installed these two drivers trying to figure this out:

Intel Ultra ATA Storage Driver
Intel 800 Integrated Chipset

Both of those installs went smoothly, but I still have two caution flags.

The "PCI System Management Bus" is using the following resource:
EFA0-EFAF

The "Unknown Device" is using these resources:
FFF00000-FFFFFFFF
FFBFFFFF-FFBFFFFF

Can anybody help me figure out what these devices are?

The system seems to be running just fine as it is.

Thanks!

hi,
download and install the "dell solution center"... this will probably solve the problem with your unknown device... the f****** (friendly) e-button ;-)

sorry for my bad english...

Install the chipset drivers, not the Dell Solution Center app.

This machine does not have one of those nifty buttons.

Do you still think the Solution Center will help?

Thank you everybody for your help.

I installed the Intel 800 chipset drivers AGAIN, and this time, when the computer restarted, all the new devices were detected, and now everything is dandy.

Have a nice day!

I have installed the Intel 800 Chipset Driver package.

The caution flag is still there.

Dell Solution Center did NOT do the trick.

Thanks for the suggestion, though!
