Dimension 9150: System Battery Low

I have a Dimention 9150 that just started complaining that its "System Battery" is low.  I have 2 questions:

  • Is this the battery on the motherboard?
  • Is the correct replacement battery a CR2032?

I checked the Dell site.  I did not actually find "System Battery" in the manual for the 9150, rather just mention of the battery.  I also checked google and found mention of the CR2032 battery, but I am not sure.

I read that I need to write down all the system setup information...I assume most of this is detected though...

any help appreciated!

Yes the system battery is the one on the motherboard

A lot of the are CR2032 but the best way is look at the one in your system and get the same numbers.

According to your manual the batter is a   3-V CR2032 lithium coin cell

Once you remove the battery you will lose any changes you have made in the bios. The best way is to get a digital camera and take a picture of each screen. 99% of the time the bios setting are at the default settings, so look in your manual or go HERE and compare your bios settings to the default listing.
