Dimension 9200
Hi All
I have an older Dell Dimension 9200 which has a Geforce 7900GS graphics card (PCI express x16 Bus 375w) and has worked perfectly for quite some time (a few months) after the Windows 10 upgrade but in the past few days it has developed a problem in that the screen is ultra bright and cannot be altered. We DON'T play games on the computer at all.
I have talked to Nvidia and they say that the card is not supported or tested for windows 10.
I talked to Dell and they tell me that the card is no longer supported.
So, I rang Microsoft and asked them to sort it as I have a warranty with them from almost a year ago when I upgraded to windows 10. They took nine hours (over four occasions) and four phone calls to tell me that the card will now not work since the recent windows 10 updates. My only option is to roll it back to windows 7 - which I don't want to do - or get a new supported graphics card.
My question is: Does anyone know of a graphics card that I can safely use with windows 10 on this machine, and, importantly, I'm NOT IT savvy but could take the old card out and put a new one in if it were a simple process, so would it be simple to do this with a new card?
Thank you all for your help (anticipated help!).

The 10 year old Dimension 9200 was never tested with Windows 10. It was only tested with Windows XP/Vista.

So I am surprised that the only issue you have is the 10 year old GeForce 7900 GS. You need to purchase something like this to work on the 375w power supply and has Windows 10 drivers.
