Dimension C521 no booting

Dell C521 hanging on diagnostic lights 1-2-3 green. No video output

Hi raalley,

This indicates an unspecified failure. The first action is to open up the case and check for any loose connections. If that does not help, reset the CMOS by removing the motherboard battery for several seconds.

Also disconnected all components and reseated memory, same 1-2-3 code.

1,2,3 = Routine system activity subsequent to video initialization. So the failure point is with the video card. Try reseating it on the motherboard.

If reseating it does not work, your video card has most likely failed. You will then need to purchase a new one.
