Does a desktop with two GPUs come with a SLI bridge?

As the title says.

If you order the desktop directly from Dell with two or more video cards, the bridge is included.

There are Desktops However such as the Precision T3400 that DO NOT SUPPORT SLI.  The T3400 supports crossfire only.

You can't wish features into chipsets or trick dell into validating a feature that does not and will not exist.

There are others with 2 slots like the Optiplex 990 that have 2 slots but do not support SLI nor Crossfire.

SLI And Crossfire are specific and not interchangeable.

The T5400 WORKS with crossfire AMD FirePro W5000 (100-505635) cards for 3D graphics, cad, maya.

(SLI AND CROSSFIRE ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE AND CANNOT BE MIXED)

Intel® 5400 Memory Controller Hub (MCH)

Slots

1 PCI-e x8 slot wired as x4

2 PCI-e x16 Gen2 graphics slot w/ Dual 150W; (300W total)

2 PCI-X 64bit/100MHz slots with support for 3.3v or universal cards

1 PCI 32bit/33Mhz slot

It would certainly appear that crossfire has issues with Crysis when looking at this:

Note that for their 1920x1200 (medium) and 1280x1024 (high) tests,

crossfire actually reduces the framerate.

What if I buy from Alienware? Does it still apply even though they are a subsidiary?

The Area 51-R2 has two bridges that support 2 or 3 cards when you have the optional 1500W power supply. The standard power supply is 850W.

Dell and Alienware are the same company.

* Go to Dell
* Highlight Products- Gaming
* Click Alienware PCs
* Click EXPLORE DESKTOPS
