Error code 2000-0511 (109066)

Due to a power surge, I had to replace the motherboard on my old optiplex 3010. After installing the new motherboard I tried to boot the computer, but I get the error code 2000-0511. I ran the diagnostic and the motherboard fan does not check out. The system won't let me get past this stage. Any suggestions?

Hi TEXFAN1,

Reseat the CPU fan and check again.

Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/28uYidk - restart and check again.

If you are unable to boot into windows, then try flashing the BIOS through DOS:

If the issue is not resolved, then I would suggest the fan to be replaced.
