Exhaust Fan Specs....Please help

After searching all threads applicable, I have not found my answer so here is the question:

What size exhaust fan should I buy?  One thread states 100-120mm at a glance, but I would like to know who has installed an exhaust fan on their XPS 630 case?

Please let me know if there is an exact spec for the exhaust fan.

Thank you,

ghstrydr; Welcome to DCF

I have a XPS720, and the correct size for my Beast is 120mm... see here

But I believe the 630 requires/fits a smaller size?

The easy way is to measure it for yourself... although I am sure a 630 owner should chime in by tomorrow.

Peace

Thank you all for the help.  I wanted to be able to know the size, as my new XPS 630 is being delivered by FedEx tomorrow sometime.  I cannot wait to be able to play the games I have at a high setting.  I can't even play COD 4 at all as my current rig doesn't fit the min sys req.  Thanks for the help.

ghstrydr,

We have several software (bios, ESA) fixes coming that address the fans and colored LEDs. Until we release them, do not adjust the fans using NvPerformance. Just load your games and play. Check back on this thread for my announcements about the new stuff.

Thanks Chris.  I was questioning what size fan fits as an add on for an exhaust fan to the rear of the case.  It looks like someone stated a 92MM fits.  I should take delivery tomorrow of my 630, but from the many threads I have read, this case does not come with an exhaust fan in the rear, which kind of baffels me.  I appreciate your quick response, but I must have stumbled onto some other issue that I was unaware of, by the sound of things.  With the minor overclocking that I would like to do with this new 630, I thought that it would be wise to add an exhaust fan and upgrade the cpu's heatsink.

ghstrydr,

My XPS 630 is overclocked and runs fine with only the stock cooling hardware.

Shark1217,

Those dates are not in stone. I just emailed you 1.0.7.

Chris,

About how long untill we see these new Bios.  On the Bios page you listed 1.0.6 to fix the chassis tab from disappearing which is happening to me.  Also on the page you listed the Bios to already be out.

Dear Chris,
