FIX FOR DELL DIMENSION3100 BLINKING AMBER POWER LIGHT
Enhance mosfet field effect transistor two installed near processor part number 6n03la0 one or two of them shoted siple replacement problem solved had the same blinking light tried everything nothing worked then remved the four pin 12 volt connector from psu to motherboard blinking light stop on power up but but stayed on hard drive started running checked resistance between the pins of both transistors upper transitors shorted should be open circuit or high resistance between all three pins eveven when installed on motherboard got an old big transistor from an old pc not a dell pc running like brand new.

Problem solved for dell dimension 3100 flashing amber power light, found enhance metal oxide field effect transistor n-channel type shorted. Part number 06N03LA two installed near processor, used for d/c to d/c switching found the most upper one shorted got a replacement from an old SHUTTLE computer which has a different part number transistor but the same specs. Use wires to connect transistor to my dell jc474 motherboard pc now running like brand new.

Hi AcerSR71,
I'm facing same amber blinking light issue.
MB, RAM, Drives seem OK.
Once Power Supply for Processor Plugged in, Blinking AMber Light show up.
Can you provide me with more details how you solve the matter please?
