GeForce 5200 DVI out to CRT TV w/ DVI in?

I have a new widescreen HDTV CRT projection TV. The S-video was Ok but I tried DVI-out to the TV's DVI-in and graphics quality was awesome, big problem though, everything defaulted to huge DPI and so huge I couldn't even see have the settings window in control panel>display settings. So can this DVI-out to CRT TV DVI-in be done, or is there a way to change settings so they won't default to HUGE and if so how do you get to them if you can't even see that part of the window to get to Advanced display settings? Thanks ....
