HELP ME.
Hey everyone I have an old Dell Dimensiom E520 desktop still in good state. I would like to upgrade some of the parts in it. First, I would like to get the max RAM memory I can but I don't know what to get. I want to install a cheap graphic card but I don't know which one and which one is compatible. I want to add a wireless card and still don't know what to get. I want the cheapest things please. Could somebody help me and tell me what to get? Don't forget, this PC is just for home work since I have 3 others for gaming and stuff. I'm just upgrading it so it stays a good PC . Help me please :) Kevin

Hi DELL-kevink,
Dell Dimension E520 supports DDR2 SDRAM of 533/667 MHz clock speed. The minimum/maximum memory supported is 256 MB to 4 GB (four slots).
You can connect video card to PCI Express® x16 slot on the system. The system comes with 305 Watt power supply. While upgrading to the video card you will need to check Power supply unit limitations. You can go for the video card in the link below.

The computer comes with PCI Express x1 slot you can upgrade to any type of wireless card depending upon the network frequency.
Please let me know if this helps.

Hi DELL-Ravi Ch
Isn't there a video card that has a HDMI port, VGI, and VGA with approximately the same price?
And where can I get the memory cards that will be compatible, for the cheapest price?
Thank you

Cheapest Current Card is ASUS Radeon EAH5450.
ASUS EAH5450 SILENT/DI/1GD3(LP) Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
The EAH6450 is 2x better for $5 more so I would recommend that.
ASUS EAH6450 Silent/DI/1GD3(LP) Radeon HD 6450 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
This card fits in ALL Dell models EXCEPT USFF which has no slots.

cheapest vs compatible are usually mutually exclusive.
Working Ram is not Cheap.:emotion-3:
Recommended Upgrade
DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64 • • Part #: CT1446452
Memory Type: DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 8GB
Slots: 4
Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.
How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. More information about OS memory maximums can be found here.
