Hard Drive
I have a XPS 400 and when I powerup my PC I get an error message on my Maxtor hard drive that says "Error Occured". What should I do. Are my hard drives going bad?

Press F12 at powerup, boot to the Dell diagnostics and run an extended (NOT just the quick) drive test.

It mean's that hard drive is failing/failed and you need to replace it ASAP.
Backup any files and folders you wish to save, to other media
If you you have a Dell warranty, contact Dell for a replacement, no warranty, you need to buy a SATA, 3.5", 7200rpm internal hard drive.
