Help me dell precision t5500 workstation with X5660 Hex Core showing 4 cores instead of 6

hey i just upgrade my cpu from Intel Xeon W3520 to a Intel Xeon X5660 Hex Core.

efter at have start den op med den ny cpu kan jeg kun see 4-cores 4-logical og 4 thread that should be 6-cores 12 threads

pc is a dell precision t5500 workstation

my os is windows 10 pro

i am not sure what to do. is it a setting or bad cpu or have i have i misunderstood 

i have jump around in the bios setting and nothing is work

Couple of things I can think of. Firstly, perhaps the X5660 is defective. Happens sometimes.

Second possibility is that Windows is configured to only use 4 cores. Go to Cortana's search bar and type in msconfig.exe and hit enter. Click on the Boot tab, then hit 'Advanced Options'. Look at the "Number of processors" field and see if it's set to four cores.
