How to power Firewire board?
Vostro 470
I installed a Siig Firewire board.
There is a 4 pin connector and a "Y" cable to connect power to the board.
However, I can see no place inside to connect this power cable, there are no 4 pin connectors anywhere. Do I need some sort of adaptor to connect somewhere?
Thanks

Depends on which card you have. The PCI SIIG FireWire 800 PCI-32T uses 4 pin floppy molex connector.
The PCI-E SIIG firewire card uses 4 pin Hard Drive Molex. You may also need extender. I would use a SATA To Molex adapter and then a Molex to floppy & hard drive Y cable so that it works either way. I would also wrap the connections with black electrical tape to keep them tight.

Hi bobmann,
You will need to purchase a 15-pin SATA to Dual 4-pin Molex Power Adapter and connect it between the power supply and the Firewire board.
