I can't boot my Dell Optiplex GX520..

Hi...

First of all, I DO have the restore disk, but the computer won't recognize it. I know there's more going on here.

Secondly, is there a free utility online that will help me erase the hard drive, so that I might re-install? Like I said

before, it won't boot. Can't get to anything other than the bios type settings, and I'm lost there. So is there a

solution for me? A small wiping utility that I can try? Thanks :) Carl:emotion-36:

We need to know the exact model before we can help. "Blueblack case" doesn't tell us anything. If you know the Service Tag number for that system, go do Dell's Support site and enter the Service Tag there. The site should give you the model number. (Do NOT post your Service Tag here.)

How many beeps and what do you see on the screen when it won't boot?
