Do you have a restore point created prior to the attempted audio package installation? If so you should consider rolling back and if your audio works again stop.  Do not try to install the new driver and report what happened to dell support.  It seems there are a lot of problems with *** device installs.

No restore point, and it won't let me roll back.  Tried to uninstall, then rebooted...same issue.  Tried to download latest driver from RealTek.  Although it appeared to install, when I rebooted, same result.

I just noticed today that my Calculator is no longer on my system, and nor is my "Settings".  I am now thinking that something is really wrong with my Windows 10.  What is the recommended process for reinstalling a clean version of Windows 10 on my Inspiron 3847?  Norton AntiVirus has a reinstate Windows 10 function.  Should I use that or go a different route.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.
