Inspiron 3847 set up
I am in the throes of creating a Linux Mint/Windows 8 dual boot system and had to change the secure boot control setting in order to boot from the FDD. I have Mint 17.1 installed on the HD but I'm unable get the system to boot in either Windows or Linux. The error message is "no bootable device". Obviously I have some thing screwed up in the boot control settings but nothing I try seems to resolve my issue.
Thanks

Post in the Linux forum for help from the experts there. Windows must be installed first--which will be a problem if you don't have windows reinstall media or Windows recovery disks.
