Inspiron 530 & Zalman 9500?
Does anyone know if the Zalman CNPS9500 LGA775 92MM Fan Heatsink will fit my Inspiron 530 Q6600?
Thanks.

Hi, Im not surprised have you seen the date on the link post. Yet again, maybe it should have worked. I though that all the posts from the old forum were brought to the new one.
If this answers your question, could you please mark the verify answer(s) to help other users out.:emotion-21:

yea, i wish it worked, the guy that the link was posted for said "Wow, thats great You have no idea how much I appreciate your help."
so im assuming the solution is in that post. A shame the replier didnt say 'yes' or 'no' additionally.

The problem is that Dell never used 'redirects' to the links in the old forum, when they 'upgraded' the forum last November.
You could try using the search feature at the top of this page to find the old form posts, I've had reasonable success in locating them.

Just in case anyone else ends up here trying to find answers on cooling your q6600 dell inspiron 530, I'll give you a partial solution.
I have a couple 530's with q6600's. I havent overclocked the chip, but, it is possible. here's a link http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=1183201
My reason for searching was because, I was running alot of software and I was getting hi temps when monitoring with coretemp program http://www.alcpu.com
I was getting close to 70celcius under load when the weather was hot!
before i started buying hardware, I went and replaced the thermal paste on the cpu and heatsink that came with the machine with some arctic silver 5 I had laying around for years, and i notice now the next day, that the temps on the untreated machine are still almost 60celcius under load (its kinda cool weather this evening) and the machine i put the arctic silver 5 on is getting temps of about 44celcius.
