Inspiron 560s Desktop (late 2009) CPU Upgrade question

Currently have 4gb Ram, am going to upgrade to 8gb 1066Mhz soon.

Was wondering if anyone has upgraded their dual-core CPU to a Core 2 Quad CPU successfully?  I did find one post on here of someone that upgraded one to a Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz but that's it.  Also, is there a relatively cheap video card upgrade I could make (under 100.00) to help improve the overall performance of this system (it's for my parents- they don't do any gaming but lots of Internet, picture sorting/editing, etc.).

Thanks in advance!

An SSD will improve performance more than a quad-core CPU will. As for a video card, I'd suggest a Sapphire 6450.

Forgot to mention I am already planning an upgrade to SSD - they have a ton of pictures/videos they are constantly sorting through and editing..  Still would like to upgrade the CPU now so it will last them a few more years.  Thanks!   Also, any idea where I can find the drivers for the SD/Mini/MMC/RS media card adapter?  I reloaded OS and got all the other drivers/BIOS upgrade/Chipset, etc. but cannot seem to find these drivers.

Thanks again!
