Install nVidia 8600 GTS into Inspiron 530?
I have an Inspiron 530 Core2 Quad processor Q6600 (2.4GHz 1066FSB) and 8MB cache
Can I install this video card into it?

Thanks.

Hi, You will get that card in the tower, as the PSU says 300w, but you will get more.

You should have no problem with installing that card. Since your system has a quad you should also have a 350w power supply, which is enough to power that video card.

The adapter is shown here.

OK, thx. One more thing.
I notice that it needs a 6 pin power plug (or 2 standard using an adapter).
Does the 350 Watt Dell Power Supply have extra? I have an card reader as an add-on when I got the computer so I don't know if that would use up some power plugs.

The adapter shown won't work since the Inspiron 530 power supply does not come with any molex connectors. I do believe the 350w PSU does come with a 6-pin connector.
