Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced HD Software Edition recording problem

I am playing music out through a mixer, and attempting to record back through the line-in using Adobe Audtion, However, I only get record when the internal microphone aray is inabled. When I disable the internal aray, and inable the lice-in for recording, nothing records. With the internal microphone aray and the line-in both inabled, it only records the background noise from the room. How do I get the line-in to work, without the internal microphone picking up?

Dell Studio 17 (Notebook) , Vista.

the internal mike records well with Adobe, but i want line in to record not the internal mic (Mic array)

basically i want the speakers being recorded not me talking

so now if i was to play music it records me talking plus the music.

Disabling the array mic also disables music being recorded.

So if i was to have a talent show on a DJ gig and have my mics plus into the mixer it will pick up the background of people singing
and not the sound though the pa speakers
