I tried to install this driver update.  Followed the instructions.  Extracted the download-but there is no install.exe file in the folder.  How do I install it? (Dell Precision T7400)

Hi,

That driver is for OS installation. With older versions of Windows 7 it was needed to recognise the HDD properly because the correct drivers weren't included with Windows. When trying to install, the option to select a driver was given, and you would select the folder manually. I hope this clarifies things for you.

thanks!  I guess I was looking at the wrong driver.  I updated my BIOS to A11, but when I boot, there is also a MPT-BIOS that configures the raid.  It is dated 2008.  Is there an update somewhere for that?  I can't seem to find one.

Intel Matrix Storage Manager was REPLACED by INTEL Rapid Storage Technology.     Advanced format drives REQUIRE INTEL RST not INTEL MSM.   INTEL MSM 8.9 is part of windows 7 install disks and does not work for Advanced format drives.  INTEL RST v.9.6.0.1014 is minimum required for ALL older chipsets.  This version applies to windows 7 or 8 or 10.  The newer driver in windows 10 IS NOT COMPATIBLE with older chipsets.   DOTNET 2.0 /  3.5 is also required to be installed for the RST Tray Icon to work. Again this is win7 or 8 or 10.

Installs the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (RAID) driver version 9.6.0.1014 for Intel® Desktop Boards.

Download the driver (STOR_allOS_9.6.0.1014_PV.exe) and one of the following F6 Driver Diskettes (depending on your operating system):

STOR_all32_f6flpy_9.6.0.1014_PV.zip - F6 driver diskette for Windows 7* (32-bit editions), Windows Vista* (32-bit editions),
Windows XP Home Edition*, Windows XP Professional* or Windows XP Media Center Edition*.

STOR_all64_f6flpy_9.6.0.1014_PV.zip - F6 driver diskette for Windows 7 (64-bit editions),

Do you know which RAID controller you have installed? and do you have RAID configured on the system?
