KM636 wireless keyboard & mouse: Need to turn off?

I just got an Inspiron 3059 All-In-One that included the KM 636 wireless keyboard/mouse combo, all of which work great so far.  The only question I have, which doesn't seem to be covered in any of the manuals, is when I need to turn off the power switches on the mouse & keyboard.  As I understand it, whenever they are inactive, or the computer is turned off or in sleep mode there is minimal battery drain.  So do I just not worry about it, or should I be turning the wireless devices off overnight?  Thanks.

If they are not to be used you should turn off.  If not for a long time the batteries should be removed.

Otherwise they leak and the acid destroys them.  You will go thru batteries quickly otherwise.

Battery's decompose whether you use them or not.  This is also why there are dates on some batteries.
