LCD monitor wont lock back on stand.

I have a LCD monitor the E156FPc.

I pressed the  Stand release button without it connected to the stand.

Now it won lock back into place, how do I fix this.

The button wont work properly.

I don`t think alcohol will help. Spray the release button itself and where the monitor attaches to the stand.

The shaver spray cleaner is different, don`t use that. I found what you need on Amazon/UK.

I changed the link, to the above as I had copied the wrong link. It is correct now.

You might try a small spray of electrical cleaner or WD40. It sounds like the spring mechanism is stuck. Be very careful not to get any spray on the screen or inside the monitor!

Thanks a lot for your help.

I used this on the button and the left and right inner metal parts, a quick spray from isopropyl alcohol.

Then it was loosened by that and I could connect it to the stand.

You only need a little bit though.

I used this before on mega drive controllers, also cleaned my processor with it.

I never used real alcohol.
