Hi Sudhir Kalwa,

Since the Inspiron 560s platform uses 1066-MHz DDR3 memory, you can upgrade the memory to a maximum of 8 GB.
Dell™ Branded memory offered in the Memory Selector is fully compatible and supported by Dell.
Dell Certified Memory undergoes rigorous testing by qualified Engineers to ensure compatibility and reliability in your Dell system.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi Sudhir Kalwa,

Thank you for your response, As per your system Inspiron 560s desktop computer Dell recommends installing memory of 1066-MHz which is DDR3.
The memory with 1333 MHz will also run on the system but the speed will be slow as compared.

Reply us if any issues further.

Make sure you are using the 64 bit version of windows so that all 8gb can be accessed. If you still have 32 bit, just upgrade to 4gb since that's all the memory that can be utilized. Installing memory is fairly easy as long as you follow the instructions in the manual. The safety instructions in "before you begin" are very important. Manual-- ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_inspiron_desktop/inspiron-560_Service%20Manual_en-us.pdf

Since you have 4 slots for memory, 2 might be empty so just adding 2 gb--a pair of 1gb--might be the best upgrade and most economical. 4 GB is fine for most home users even if you have 64 bits windows. Memory should be installed in pairs for best results.
