New ESA 6.03 doesn't list 650i chipset support
Is there a reason the new ESA 6.03 software does not list support for 650i chipset in the 630?

Did ESA 6.02 list the 650i chipset as supported?
If I recall, the XPS 630 has a hybrid 650i chipset that supports ESA.

Hey Chris how did you install the new ESA 6.03. Did you just install it over the old ones or did you uninstall everything first then install the new one. I'm using the 6.02 and I have no problems so I'm debating to install it.
Thanks

I removed all ESA software and then installed 6.03. I also was not having issues with 6.02 but figured I should try the 3s anyway.

Where did you guys find 6.03. When I go to Nvidia's website it lists 6.02
Edit: I found it, but not on Nvidia's website. Why is that?

Some people on the My630i.com forums are reporting that they lose the ability to control their GPU fans after installing ESA 6.03 :

Installed the ESA 6.03 late last night on my 730, lost my graphics sliders, went to nVidia and updated the graphics drivers, followed Chris's instructions on updating the Dell drivers inside of the nVidia control panel and still did not have graphics sliders. Everything else is great. Tonight will remove 6.03 and reinstall 6.02 so that I can keep the dual GPU's fan control and wait until this is fixed.
Did not try it on the 630 yet and now will not try.

Odd, when I installed 6.03 yesterday, the first module to install wouldn't and gave an error along the lines that it did not need to be upgraded. The next two modules of the update applied, and rebooted. Single GPU, but slider was okay.
Updated the system drivers, and still had the functional slider. Tried to update the video drivers, but they won't update at all. The 9800 GT is using v7.15.11.7744 @ 7/17/2008 and even tried updating the driver through Device Manager and it says "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date."
Guess whatever that first module of the ESA 6.03 installation is what is killing y'all? I wasn't paying too much attention at what it was, as was searching the forums on my laptop during the install processes.
