No audio Dell XPS 8700
Apparently my Dell XPS 8700 comes with NVIDIA high definition audio as part of the NVIDIA graphics card, but in no place can I find a reference to the outputs on the back of the case.
When I go to control panel/sound, all the NVIDIA HDMI output ports are listed as "unplugged " and the only Realtec available has a terrible sound./
Can't find any way to alter the default playing device from the Realetec to the Nvidia.
I"d appreciate your guidance.

Hi ameneses54,
Can I just ask what nVidia card you have in your system? Also, does the video output device that you are connecting to the system through HDMI have speakers? This is the main question as without your video output device (such as a monitor or television) not having speakers or the ability to accept HDMI audio input then this is the most likely cause of why your system is stating that the HDMI ports are unconnected in the Sound properties.
Please let us know this before we can continue troubleshooting. Thanks!
