OptiPlex GX270 Re-Format, Drivers

Hi, I'm using a OptiPlex GX270 desktop, and looks like I need to re-format my hard drive, if I do this will my drivers remain intact, or will I have to re-install them? I dont have the drivers, so this question has me worried....

Thanx....

FullBug

you can find drivers for your system HERE . They should also be on your Drivers and resource disk.

After you do the reformat and install you need to follow these INSTRUCTIONS.

Yes if you reformat you will lose everything on the harddisk. IF you can make sure you back up any important files you want.

So I assume I would have to install all drivers before I could use the internet?

I dont have a drivers and resource disk, so I'm thinking I need to put these on a disc before hand....

Yes you will have to reinstall them and your idea is correct.

You can go HERE and enter you service tag. Click on the tabs and it will list your shipped and current system configs. Then go to the drivers and download page and get the necessary ones.
