Optiplex 7010 with Zotac GTX 660 Ti, no video output

I have an Optiplex 7010.  I installed a Corsair AX760i power supply, and have let it run for a week to verify the upgrade did not create a new problem.

Now I am trying to install a Zotac GTX 660 Ti video board.  It appears the new video board is recognized as the on-board graphics is no longer generating a video signal, but there is also NO signal from the GTX 660 DVI connectors.  I checked the voltages on the 2 6-pin power connectors to the video board and +12v is there.  Any ideas?

OK, I have solved the problem.

I had to change the following BIOS settings to allow the GTX 660 Ti board to operate.

General

   Advanced Boot Options

       X  Enable Legacy Option Roms

Secure Boot

   Secure Boot Enable

       X  Disabled

After making these two changes, the GTX 669 Ti video board now operates.

With the Video board now operating, a new BIOS option appeared which I enabled, as follows:

Video

   Multi-Display

       X  Enable Multi-Display

At this point I now loaded the drivers for the new graphics board and all appears to be operating as desired.

I also noted from another forum that there was questions about the "SERR Messages" BIOS option, it is ENABLED in my machine.

The BIOS is "Dell Inc. A12 01/10/2013".

Hi Dale22203,

You'll need to remove the card and use integrated graphics, but I would suggest checking the BIOS for any appropriate settings. Remember, this is a business machine and there's a lot more configurability than most desktops.

I have removed the graphics card and checked the many BIOS options, but there is not any video options.  I have tried turning on/off several other options to no effect.

Hello,  I posted the above solution about a year ago.  It has been a year and the Zotac GTX 660 Ti in the Dell 7010 with the Corsair AX760i power supply is still working great, it's a wonderful system.  I also replaced the RW-DVD & DVD player with two LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH14NS40 writers, and added a SiliconDust HDHR3-CC cablecard tuner (it has 3 tuners).  Now I can watch either live TV or a recorded show, recorder 2 other shows, and search the web, do email and excel spreadsheets, ALL at the same time.  Life is good.
