Optiplex 7020 -> How to disable onboard video

The system is hanging when I try to sleep. This is a 1 month old Optiplex 7020 desktop computer.

It came with a I7 4970 processor, 16GB of ram and a offboard Radeon R5 240 video card.

Windows 8.1 64bit, bios version A07.

I would like to disable onboard video via bios, but I could not find the option.

There is only 2 options:

1. First Init display: [Auto, Onboard, PCI-E] -> I set PCI-E

2. Multi-Monitor: I set to OFF.

Thanks in advance,

On my Optiplex 7020 with BIOS A05, under Primary Display, I have Auto, Intel HD Graphics, ATI Radeaon Graphics (see pic). Highly doubt the BIOS difference would change the primary display option... I'm really not sure why you're shown only [Auto, Onboard, PCI-E]. I'm also not sure why you think disabling the onboard graphic will fix the hanging problem when trying to put it in sleep mode.

I would be more curious to see what you have configured in Power Management. In mine there is an option call Block Sleep... if you have that checked it could be the cause of your issues, see pic.
