Optiplex 7050 USB 3.1 support
I saw this Dell Article ID: SLN305063 which states that USB 3.1 is not supported on the 7050 even though the sales and tech manuals say it is.
I do not see any USB 3.1 drivers installed or available and I am not getting USB 3.1 speeds on either the A or C ports.
Not asking for Thunderbolt, just USB 3.1. I do know that the 7050 uses an Intel Q270 chipset which does not support USB 3.1 but there may be a Cypress chip in there for the Type-C port, who knows.
Anyone know the real story on this?

I think I have found the answer. USB 3.1 Gen 1 is the new way to say 3.0. So saying 3.1 Gen 1 is a marketing ploy and doesn't mean a true USB 3.1. True USB 3.1 with 10gps speed is a 3.1 Gen 2.
The Dell Optiplex 7050 DOES NOT support USB any faster than the old USB 3.0.When Dell comes out with a system using Intel Q300 series chipset, then it will probably support true USB 3.1 speeds.
