Optiplex 755 refuses to enter BIOS sequence menu
I purchased a refurbished Opt-plex 755, S/N<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
, last year with Vista installed. After verifying the computer was operating properly I erased Vista and installed Linux Mint. Until now I have been able to access the BIOS boot sequence. I currently have Ubuntu -Mate (Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS) installed. I suspect it maybe this Linux Distrobution causing the problem.
When I press F2, F12, Esc or Del the Ubuntu GRUB menu appears, skipping the BIOS menu. Is there some way I can force the computer into the BIOS menu in order to boot to a Live CD and install a different distrobution to see if that fixes the problem? Or is their a fix to this that I can perform?
Thank you, Jim

I contacted Larry Bushy of the Going Linux podcast concerning the problem. He contacted an acquaintance who suggested removing the CMOS battery for 10 minutes. I did and it solved the problem. Now the BIOS requires me to press F1 to continue with boot process, F2 to enter the BIOS setup or F5 for diagnostic analyses It is a minor problem because the BIOS cannot see my wireless keyboard.
