I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF and noticed the DVD ROM drive wasn't working. So, I went into the BIOS and set SATA mode to Legacy. The drive was detected. Then, I went into Windows 7 and a bunch of updates happened. I also updated the BIOS at that time and restarted. Now, my DVD drive is no longer recognized no matter what I set the BIOS to!
I had the A10 BIOS and updated it to the A15. Should I re-flash back to A10?

Hi! Thank you for your response. I figured it out. It was a loose connection in the power receptacle in the back of the DVD drive. If it is moved upward, the drive works. I will eventually get a DVD RW for the 780 when I can.
