Optiplex 790 NIC Drivers for WDS boot image

I have a base boot image that I think came with Windows 7 AIK or Server 2008, can't remember... but I didn't have to add drivers to load out Optiplex 745 and 755's. Now I've got a bunch of new 790's and of course the boot image doesn't have the NIC driver. I have been trying for hours to find a NIC driver that works to add to my boot image. I've tried the ones from the regular drivers download page, the Optiplex 790 CAB drivers page  and i've even added ALL the NIC drivers from this "WinPE 3.0 CAB drivers" I imported my modified boot image and try to load WDS on a 790 and I get "WDSClient: An error occured while starting networking: a matching network driver was not found in this image. ..."

I'm not sure what else to try here.

I figured out the problem... sort of. I loaded AIK for Windows 7 on my workstation and just did it from there instead of the WDS server. Same general method but for some reason this way worked. Now i'm able to boot into WDS and install my image. Not sure why the one on my server wasn't working properly, but no matter now.

Hi Gregom,

What OS? There are two NICs available for this model, a Broadcom and an Intel.

All my clients are Windows 7 x86. I used the x86 Windows 7 drivers.

No idea what's wrong. You might want to ring tech support.

Glad to hear that worked.
