Power supply upgrade for Inspiron 530

Hi

I got a 9600GT as a gift recently and woud like to use it on my DELL.

My current power supply is a BESTEC 300W.

However after much research, i discovered that dell uses a special mobo which requires a proprietary PSU.

My mobo is the FoxConn G33m02 with ATX casing

For those who have upgraded their PSU before, would appreciate if you can share the model you got.

Thanks!

Dell uses custom OEM motherboards, but they have been using standard ATX power supplies for a long time.  Just make sure the power supply has either a (standard) 24 pin or a 20 plus 4 pin for the motherboard and a 4 pin Molex for CPU power and whatever other power connections you need.

You can use most generic standard ATX power supply units, with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector, with or without the on/off switch.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.

Note: You require a power supply with four SATA power connectors.

No, you need a power supply with four SATA power connectors, the unit in your link only has three.

Yes, the Rosewill 530w power supply will be fine for the Inspiron 530MT, but personally, I would spend a little bit more money and buy a better quality unit.
