(Redirected) Alienware Aurora-R2 Ram Upgrade

Hello. I have 4 x 2 gig of ram but one of them is not working. Win 7 shows 8 gig installed but only 4 available.

How do I figure out which ones are good, and make sure its not the MB?

I would like to upgrade to 16gig but not sure which to get.
