(Redirected) Aurora R4 Motherboard + PSU | migration + swap question

I understand there's many PSU/Mobo discussions and I've done my research but couldn't find what I needed exactly, so here I am. I'm wanting to move my MOBO over to a new case but was wondering if using a NEW fully modular PSU is a viable option, I have new PSU on the way and wanted to get ready for the new AMD tech coming out but didn't want to waste my time moving stuff over until I knew everything I needed to first.
